While teaching in Texas Public Schools and raising her sons, Nancy experimented with many forms of art: sewing, jewelry making, oil painting, photography, watercolors and finally, her favorite, pastels. Currently, Nancy is an active member in Central Texas Pastel Societyand the Visual Arts Club in Sun City.
Nancy has received instruction from numerous locally and nationally known artists such as Bob Rohm, Gil Dellinger, Steve Napper, Denise Mahlke, and most recently, Dalhart & Michael Windberg. Her paintings have earned awards in juried shows around Central Texas and can be found in many private collections and Central Texas businesses. She is exhibiting her work at numerous venues in Central Texas.
Nancy’s favorite saying is "Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." She uses photography as she travels to capture those fleeting moments and to help her hold on to them until she can paint them. She has traveled throughout Europe with Italy being her favorite destination. The Texas Hill Country continually provides inspiration for her art.
